Harriet asks :

How can I hide a big bum? Everything I wear seems to cling to my problem area, what am I doing wrong? Help Jess and Laura, you're my only hope!!!!!

First of all the secret is in the fabric. Any clingy items like viscose are not your friend when it comes to problem areas.

Stick to cotton or denim but keep colours dark. Lighter clothing will make you look bigger.

Don't believe the myth that you can only wear block colours when disguising a big bum. Patterns are fine but stick to bigger prints, anything small and ditzy will make you look bigger.

This skirt is perfect, £38 from Urban Outfitters. It's dark coloured with a big pattern and the flared skirt stops it clinging to your curves, just skimming them. Also the floral print is perfect for summer!

Harriet, do not despair! We're at hand with some great fashion advice for you to hide your rear.

Firstly, I'm sure you don't have a big bum at all and it's all in your head, but I understand that we all have bits of us, which we dislike. So here goes- Stick to tailored pieces, anything loose and baggy will just draw attention to your problem area.

Wide-leg trousers are an essential and make sure to avoid skinny jeans. Lastly invest in some control undies which lift and shape your bum into a managable new shape.
