Depending on wear you are looking, there can be jeans that are made to fit the one body/age group. This can be annoying, but some shops, noteably those on the highstreet, have a wide enough range to find something.

Perhaps try Gap, as a proper jeans store, or looking at Debenhams? I think this is an underrated store as you have so many great names, for a varied age demographic under one roof. You're also looking at quality clothes that will last you many years.

At this time of year a nice alternative to jeans are linen trousers. These too, are available either online or on the highstreet and are perfect for the summer.

Also there is not the age issue often found with jeans as they suit a broader section of women. You can pick a colour and size to fit you and don't have to worry about hipsters as the loose fit compliments any figure.
