48 hours in Baku shows how this city is dripping with culture and history, with the backdrop of a vibrant shopping and social scene. It showcases the best places to visit, such as The Heydar Aliyev centre (designed by Zaha Hadid), The Museum of Modern Art, The Flame Towers, Baku’s newest retail centre - The 28 Mall and The Emporium and the Boulevard (home to Burberry, Celine, Todds and Tom Ford). Restaurants and nightlife - including jazz venue, The Mugham Club and Sahil restaurant, where they serve the local delicacy – sturgeon kebab and finally looks at the Novruz festival, a traditional Azeri celebration which takes place in March.

British Airways have now added a direct route to Baku along with Azeri airline AZAL who offer regular flights from London. There has been a recent increase in the restaurant and hotels built in the city, such as the Four Seasons and the art scene has also increased over the years, with the introduction of many more art galleries and exhibitions for many of the local new talent in this field.
