The Royal couple visited the Far East on behalf of the Queen

As the Kate Middleton topless pics scandal continues, the royal couple seems to have sparked a sharp boom in bookings to Far East destinations that they visited as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

In the past week, lastminute.com has seen a sharp boom in hotel and flight bookings to Malaysia by a third and to Singapore by a significant 51 per cent compared to this time last year.

The happy couple also explored Borneo’s rainforests, was greeted by topless ceremonial dancers in the Solomon Islands and watched a canoe race between island communities in Tuvalu. They are due to arrive home in England today.

Kathy Dover from lastminute.com says: “It looks like there’s no stopping to the Copy Kate sensation – it doesn’t just end at her style, but Britons are also rushing to book last minute deals to the Asia-Pacific region to get a taste of travelling like royalty.”
