Ric is organising preparations for Lindsey Jones’ memorial service. At the service Ric reveals plans for a new zero tolerance policy, on abuse and ignorance. No one has heard about this before the memorial, Jayne isn’t impressed. Connie thinks this is going to all backfire and looks forward to that happening. Ric suggests to Jayne that she will gather a few of the board members in the board room near the end of the day. They want to hear his plans.

Joseph tells Faye he wants to buy a nursing home. She is enamoured with him, he seems less so. He is confronted by a strange patient. The patient and her husband really do not want a male nurse helping them. Joseph is distracted, he keeps trying to talk to Jac, who doesn’t want to discuss anything with him; especially his concerns that there is something more going on with the couple he and Jac are attending to. She informs him of the patient being involved in a skiing accident, in which she sustained three brain injuries.

During Ric’s speech he says that he wants to target patients who are obese and smoke. Targets that Michael thinks are controversial and could put Ric in some serious hot water. Ric talks through a few of his plans with Michael on how they treat the clinically obese and smokers. Michael looks over at his patient – well then they shouldn’t be treating Jeffrey Moore over there. He’s overweight and a smoker.

Maddy has had a killer night out with Tom, which ended in Tom getting his car impounded after he left it on the side of the road and Maddy with the biggest hang over ever. Maria isn’t in the best mood today, a patient attacks her and she can’t stop thinking about Sam. We find out that Sam had left his car for Maria as a gift, Maria hasn’t used or even moved it and is reminded of Sam when someone calls asking her to move it. Maria finally has to face her emotion for missing Sam. She takes it out on Donna who has no clue what has got into Maria.

Joseph reveals to Linden that he and Jac slept together and he thinks she is pregnant with his baby. He is told to ask her about it, which he does. She denies she is pregnant. The patient he is attending to smells Joseph’s hair. The patient’s husband tells Joseph his wife developed hyper sexuality after the skiing accident. Neither of them wants counselling to deal with the stress this is putting on their relationship.

Maria drives up in Sam’s car to be met by Donna who is wondering where she got it. Donna can’t believe Maria’s luck, ‘Sam has given you his car!’ Maria thinks she would rather have Sam than the car but anyways, she has to get back to work.

Ric goes to meet the patient to find out why he hasn’t made changes to his life. He wonders why his family haven’t helped him. On cue his son turns up, he is over-weight and clearly a smoker from his shopping bag full of cigarette packets. Ric is determined to make a stand on his policy and suggests to Michael that he deals with Mr Moore. He warns that this hospital will not be providing any more treatment until he’s improved his lifestyle. Elliot, standing there with his donut can’t help but put in his two-penny worth in, will Ric be targeting Surgeons next? Asking them to lose weight? Ric makes a witty retort before heading off. Moore complains to the board.

Joseph tells his patient she has gonorrhoea, which her husband may have as well. However, he then finds out she had it before the accident, and it wasn’t treated properly. She is a sex addict. She tells Joseph that she does not want to upset her husband by bringing it up.

Donna finds Maria in the toilets crying, she is clearly missing Sam and the car seems to have brought it down to earth- he’s gone and never coming back. Donna tries her best to cheer Maria up. She suggests a night on the town with Tom and Maddy.

Mr Moore gets ready to leave, he can’t stay in a hospital with such values. Just as he is packing his belongings he collapses with pain. Ric has no choice but to treat him. Moore is rushed into theatre. The size of the man becomes a problem and the team struggle to figure out what is wrong with Moore. The team work together and Moore survives. His son begins to rethink his future.
