It’s the day of Archie’s christening; Faye sits proudly looking at him. She briefly looks round the church – other than Linden there is no-one else there. Joseph is still in theatre, he shouts to get Jac paged to get her to cover but after three attempts there is still no sign of her. Joseph anxiously looks at the clock in the operating theatre as he’s meant to be at Archie’s baptism today. Jac finally makes it to the theatre but by this time Joseph has nearly finished and is extremely late. Jac apologises, she must have ‘missed’ the pages. She clearly knew it was Archie’s baptism and is continuing to stir, she’s sorry it didn’t work out with Faye, but if he ever wants another drink then he knows where she is. Jac smiles a sly sarcastic smile.

Ric’s start to the day is thrown into chaos when he walks straight into a fight on Keller. Ric and Michael jump into action to separate the scrap. Ric hauls the main culprit, Tom, a medical student into his office. Tom’s cleaned himself up and the penny drops as Ric realises who he is. (Tom from Episode 53) When Ric recognises him he lays into him – what the hell is he playing at? Why’s he here? He’s a junkie, not a doctor. It transpires that he is a medical student and has spent the last few months re-training and has enrolled at University. He’s re-starting his 5th year. Tom was defending himself when the patient attacked him – he had a knife. Can Ric help him as there’ll be a disciplinary at the end of the day?

Mark is left looking after Daisha’s baby as she has officially decided that she’s keeping him. Mark doesn’t want to do anything that will jeopardise her decision. Linden isn’t too pleased that Mark’s priorities are somewhere else - there has been a Cdif outbreak on Darwin. Mark tries to work while with the baby, Linden is still not impressed and Connie isn’t either. Mark says that not everyone can afford a nanny, Connie’s face turns cold “I was about to suggest my nanny look after baby Jo”. Mark, embarrassed, would love the help. Connie agrees.

Meanwhile at the christening they are so late that they will have to start without Joseph. Faye asks Linden if he wouldn’t mind being Archie’s Godfather. Linden would love to and steps into Joseph’s position. Things are drawing to a close with no sign of Joseph.

Michael’s really got it in for Tom, he thinks he’s a loose canon and there’s no point training up someone like that. There’s big fall out from the fight on Keller. Complaints are coming in fast and furious. The powers that be want answers and he doesn’t want the name Spence dragged through the mud because some kid decides to have a temper tantrum. Michael assumes Ric’s kicking Tom out. He isn’t. Ric tries to explain to Michael that he needs to give Tom a chance to explain himself. Ric finds himself standing up for Tom, a patient was out of line – he had a knife. Michael doesn’t believe him. Ric sees Michelle approaching on the horizon…Tom clocks Michelle too…what is she doing here?

Joseph exits the theatre, tearing off his scrubs, he’s a man on a mission. As Joseph zooms down the corridor he opens the chapel door to find it’s empty. He’s too late.

Joseph finds Faye and Linden in the Wyvern Coffee Bar, Faye’s giggling with Linden. Joseph heads over. The atmosphere immediately changes. Joseph is immediately apologetic – he’s sorry he missed the christening, He can’t apologise enough. Faye accepts his apology, luckily Linden was there to save the day. Joseph looks confused. Linden stepped in, he is Archie’s godfather explains Faye. Joseph can’t believe Linden would do that and is clearly devastated.

Michelle’s desperate for financial help. She needs to give Leo’s son a better life and needs some items for the baby. She promises once she’s got her first pay cheque, she’ll give Ric the money back. Ric insists the money is fine but he hasn’t got that kind of cash on him- he will need to get it from the bank. He also needs to think. He’s bleeped to go to surgery as one of his team had a personal appointment they forgot about and he has been nominated to cover. Ric rolls his eyes and as he’s heading off, he asks Michelle to wait. In his office Tom appears.

Meanwhile, Joseph continues his operating schedule by scrubbing up. Jac appears and is cleaning the area, clearly trying to impress Joseph in an unsuccessful way. Joseph just shrugs Jac off and walks into the theatre. Later when the two are in theatre Joseph notices that Jac is crying. She says that she isn’t crying but might have got some spray in her eyes. Annalese asks if her hands are stinging, “yes slightly, its fine’, Jac knowing something is wrong and pulls out of the operation. Joseph has a slight smile on his face.

Tom and Michelle catch up and Tom asks Michelle if she could get him some heroin. Michelle, thinking Tom is trying to see if she is genuine, says no. Tom persuades her, he isn’t asking because Ric is suspicious, he actually wants some. Michelle agrees- she will get some for him.

Michelle gets the heroin for Tom and hides it under the baby. Tom asks her why didn’t Leo ever tell him he had a son. Tom asks if the child is actually Leo’s or even hers. Michelle explains that the child isn’t hers, she is just borrowing the child on odd days to make it seem as if she has a child.

It’s nearing the end of the day and someone has to collect baby Jo from Connie’s nanny, Rachel says she will collect him. Mark also asks if she wouldn’t mind looking after him for a few hours too. Rachel says she has no experience with children but will do anything to help.

Jac is worried about her hands, “What if I can’t work again?” she says to a specialist. The specialist explains that she is fine, Jac is still worried. She bumps into Joseph and she puts on her helpless victim act. She asks Joseph if he will look at her hands. He takes them and looks deep into her eyes. Are they going to kiss? Jac moves in but Joseph backs away dropping her hands, leaving the room to bump into Faye. Faye has been thinking and realises she should be with Joseph. Before she can say anymore, Joseph grabs her and kisses her passionately. Faye smiles – it is just want she wanted. Joseph explains that he wants to spend his life with her. Faye agrees.

Meanwhile, Michelle sees the police and thinks that Tom has told Ric about her scam. Ric wants to talk with Michelle, Ric has the money for her. Michelle can’t take it as she has been lying and the baby isn’t Leo’s. Ric can’t believe Michelle was scamming him all along. Tom meets with Ric and explains that Michelle was always a bad character. Ric, disappointed with Michelle, decides to help Tom instead.
