Back to the world of television today for The Female First Awards 2019, as we celebrate some of the most infectious personalities to have taken part in reality TV! If you love watching real people navigate a world they're usually brand new to, then you're likely going to be a big fan of some of the names on our list! We're sure you can agree that all five of these wonderful women deserve their spot...

Nominee: Caitlyn Jenner, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

When rumours suggested Caitlyn Jenner would be heading into the I'm A Celebrity jungle, eyebrows were raised. Would the A-list personality really subject herself to three weeks of drama and chaos in the Australian outback in exchange for a paycheck she probably doesn't need? It turns out, yes, she would indeed!

Many thought she wouldn't last a week, but Caitlyn showed grit and determination, proving that even at 70-years-old, she was one of the strongest personalities the series had ever seen. Her positive attitude and approach to each day was enough to keep us all smiling, and though she just missed out on a spot in the top four, she's definitely somebody whose time in the jungle will stick with us for years to come.

Nominee: Michelle Visage, Strictly Come Dancing

We're used to seeing her as one of the head judges on RuPaul's Drag Race, but Michelle Visage decided to step foot on the ballroom dancefloor this year, partnered with Giovanni Pernice on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing.

Quickly proving any doubters wrong, she tackled each dance ferociously, gaining the highest score in the second week of the competition and leaving the judges with their jaws on the floor. Though she was immensely talented, audiences were shocked to see her sent packing in the ninth week of the competition, after putting on a stellar performance of Vogue by Madonna.

Nominee: The Vivienne, RuPaul's Drag Race UK

The first series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK has been hailed by thousands as one of the best seasons the franchise has ever seen - and for good reason! With huge personalities and a lot of talent battling it out for the first ever British Drag Race crown, it took a lot to stand out amongst the fray. One queen who didn't have any problem in doing so however, was The Vivienne.

Already named UK Ambassador to Drag Race, The Vivienne had high expectations coming into the competition, but managed to knock all but one of the challenges out of the park. Her Snatch Game performance as Donald Trump, and heartwarming friendship with Baga Chipz, are moments that will go down in Drag Race herstory. A very worthy winner indeed.

Nominee: Maura Higgins, Love Island

Returning earlier than usual in the New Year, for a January series based in South AfricaLove Island contestants will have to pull out all the stops if they're to make an impact as big as Maura Higgins did in the usual summer series.

Coupling up with a handful of different guys - one of whom she overheard chatting to his friends in perhaps the most disgusting way about women you could be caught doing - Maura eventually found her Prince Charming in the most unexpected of places, with dancer Curtis Pritchard. Their romance is one that has, to this point, gone the distance.

Maura is a woman who knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to speak her mind. She gives great advice to her friends, and we can't think of anybody we'd rather have on our side.

Nominee: Jenny Ryan, The X Factor: Celebrity

When Nicole Scherzinger decided she wouldn't be taking Chaser, Jenny Ryan, through to the live shows of The X Factor: Celebrity, there was a public outcry. So much so, that producers decided she should be brought back as a Wildcard act, which then saw her actually make it all the way to the grand final!

She may not have taken home the crown and record deal in the end, but Jenny showed she had talents far beyond those she showcased on The Chase, and could - we imagine - quite easily enjoy a career in musical theatre if that was a road she wished to go down.

And the winner is...

Maura Higgins! Nobody had the nation talking like this woman, and we cannot wait to see what's next for her. A career in showbiz is what she was born for! We'll next see her competing on ITV's Dancing on Ice in the New Year - good luck, Maura!
