2014 saw the arrival of one of the best animated movies to-date, Big Hero 6. The film was a beautiful reminder that loss is a part of life, but it doesn’t need to consume us. Now, more news is coming out of the star of the show, well, getting his own show.

Baymax (Scott Adsit) is an adorable robot created by Hiro’s (Ryan Potter) brother, Tadashi (Daniel Henney), who wished for him to be the best medical robot there is.

When Tadashi passes away, however, Hiro finds it hard to cope. But, with Baymax, a huge, squishy bot looking out for him, things don’t seem so dark.

While Big Hero 6 focused on Hiro’s journey, it was no surprise that Baymax stole the show. His hilarious mannerisms and misunderstanding of almost everything make him the perfect character to lead his own show.

Baymax! the TV series will centre on the lovable character as we follow his day-to-day life, which isn’t exactly simple. He struggles to understand human concepts still, making anything he does chaotic.

The second trailer for Baymax! was released yesterday (May 20th, 2022), and has almost reached 800,000 views.

The trailer is a wonderful collection of clips that highlight how fun, bright, and joyful this show will be; just what we all need, more Baymax!

We see Baymax travel around the fictional city of San Fransokyo, the same place where the 2014 feature was based, as he does his best to help those around him, including a very angry cat that Baymax will not give up on helping.

The lovable marshmallow gets into all kinds of situations, including taking over Aunt Cass's (Maya Rudolph) café, in which Baymax takes a long time to make drinks and customers somehow don’t seem impressed that they’re being served by an adorable robot.

Baymax clings to a car roof as it speeds down streets, spills ramen (and puts it back into the bowl), and even makes some new friends.

Baymax! will debut only on Disney+ on June 29th, 2022.
