Emma Willis rules herself out of hosting new Big Brother series

The 46-year-old star admitted she "loved [her] time on the show" but confirmed she has "said goodbye" to the programme, which is returning on ITV2 and ITVX next year, after hosting the Channel 5 series and the celebrity version from 2013 until its end in 2018.

When asked if she would return to 'Big Brother' on ITV2, she said: "No. I think with every new era of 'Big Brother', I think there should be a new host.

"You know, I loved my time on the show, and I very much kind of said goodbye to it back then because we thought it was over. I don't tend to go back. I like to move forward."

Emma believes the show should have a new presenter at the helm.

She added to RadioTimes.com: "I think it's right. It's starting again, it's got a new home – it should have a new host."

Before landing the main job on 'Big Brother', Emma presented spin-off show 'Big Brother's Bit on the Side'.

Rylan Clark went on to land the solo presenting job on the spin-off programme, which he held until the show's end in 2018, after Emma won her promotion to the main show, and he is now the bookmakers' odds-on favourite to front the new main series.

The 33-year-old star is 8/11 with Sky Bet to be the host of the first episode of ITV2's 'Big Brother'.

But the some-time 'This Morning' presenter faces stiff competition from Alison Hammond, who co-hosts the brunch-time show every Friday alongside former 'Big Brother's Little Brother' presenter Dermot O'Leary, who hosted the spin-off show from 2001 to 2008.

Alison is 2/1 with Sky Bet to be the new 'Big Brother' presenter, and last week it was reported she was at the top of producer's lists to follow in the footsteps of Davina McCall, Brian Dowling and Emma in fronting the show.

A source said: "Alison is top of the list to present next year’s Big Brother. Execs think she’s exactly what the show needs. She’s energetic, fun, relatable and she was on the show, so she knows it inside out."

An ITV spokesperson insisted no decisions have been made as yet.

They said: "All suggestions surrounding the host are pure speculation and absolutely no decisions have been made at this early stage."
