Kym Marsh would be the "worst camp mate ever" if she went into the 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' jungle - because she's "frightened of her own shadow."

The 'Coronation Street' actress has no intention of taking part in the creepy-crawly show in the future because she thinks she would drive her fellow competitors up the wall with her fear of bugs but, although many stars find themselves getting grouchy due to the lack of food in camp, the brunette beauty thinks she could handle rice and beans.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the Pride of Sport Awards, held at London's Grosvenor House, last night (22.11.17), she said: "I wouldn't ever go in, I'd be the worst campmate ever. I'm frightened of my own shadow. I don't like bugs - I might be able to take a bunch in the face but I couldn't stand it if one crawled on me in the night.

"I wouldn't be bothered about not having food, I'm not a massive foodie anyway. I think it would more the challenges. When you're doing then you know nothing can kill you, it would be more terrifying getting into your sleeping bag at night, what could get you!"

The 41-year-old star's ex-husband Jamie Lomas - who she divorced in 2013 - is currently taking part in the show and has joked that she will be voting for him to do all of the trials because their six-year-old daughter Polly wants to see her dad on screen.

She said: "Polly couldn't wait to start watching him on the show and said to me: 'I want to see daddy eating some bugs. Although he better brush his teeth before he gives me a kiss!'. I'll record it and then fast-forward any bits I don't think she should watch. I'm not sure how she'd take it if he was trapped with rats or something like that. I know he doesn't like them!. Polly and I will definitely vote for him to do the trials - Polly will want to see him being challenged as he's her hero."
