Lady Gaga has said she's a fan of BBC's 'Eastenders'.

The 'Applause' singer shocked Walford legend June Brown - who plays Dot Branning - when she admitted her admiration of the 86-year-old actress during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

When the host asked Gaga if she was familiar with 'EastEnders', June interrupted to say: "Don't say yes, darling. If you're not, you're not - and I don't blame you. It's alright."

But Gaga replied: "I am - and actually I am a really big fan of yours. You are so fabulously dressed. I am honoured to be sitting next to you."

Gaga than took a sip from June's wine and said: "I want to drink from your cup to see what those genes are."

The veteran actress then joked about the US superstar's notoriously wacky wardrobe, saying she had donned a revealing dress to "out-do her".

Gaga replied: "You look amazing."

Discussing Gaga's new single, June said: "As for 'Do what you want with my body,' I don't advise you say that to everybody."

June is said to be "thrilled" with her new pal.

An insider said: "Gaga and June really hit it off. June was thrilled when Gaga said she was a fan."

Gaga's 'EastEnders' confession comes after it emerged Britney Spears tries not to miss an episode of rival soap 'Coronation Street' when she is in the UK.

The source added to The Sun newspaper: "British soaps are the in thing for American pop superstars."

'The Graham Norton Show' will air on November 8.
