Danny Dyer in EastEnders
Looking back on another twelve months worth of drama, the British Soap Awards will return to celebrate another gigantic year in soap opera.
The 16th annual awards ceremony is to take place for the first time at London's Hackney Empire theatre on Saturday May 24, honouring the biggest names, scenes and shows in the business.
Phillip Schofield is to host as awards are presented by a whole score of well-known faces from across the world of television and showbusiness.
16 awards total will be handed out, voted for either by the public or a panel of expert judges, with viewers still now able to vote for their favourites in the following categories - Best Actor, Best Actress, Villain of the Year, Sexiest Female, Sexiest Male and Best British Soap.
