Matthew McConaughey's wife Camila Alves has become a US citizen. The model was born in Brazil, but after travelling to Los Angeles at the age of 15 to visit her aunt she decided to stay in America. After working and living in the US for 18 years, Camila finally was granted her citizenship on Tuesday. Taking to Twitter to post a photo of the family together at the courtroom where it was granted, he wrote: "Congratulations Camila on getting your U.S. citizenship today - another fellow and great American. Camila also took to Twitter to express her joy at finally become a citizen of the US, a country she has "so much respect" for. She tweeted: "Happy to say I now hold an American passport! I have so much respect and appreciation for this country. #newuscitizen"
