It sounds like this guy is talking a relationship with you very seriously. If he has left his girlfriend and said the ‘l’ word to you then it seems like he’s committed to making go of this with you.

He cheated on his girlfriend with you- but he has made the decision to end it with her rather than going behind her back with you- so now that is over you have clear conscience and a real opportunity to start a relationship up here.

The only thing I would say is, that he has cheating on one of his girlfriends, so make sure that you can trust him 100% before you enter into anything with him. If he has done this before could you be another notch on his bedpost? How long has he been cheating on his girlfriend with you? If it’s not long try to establish is the 'I love you' is genuine or a bid to get you into swept up in a rocky relationship.

If you feel sure about his feelings and that he won’t cheat on you then it might be worth seeing where this goes, however if he is known for having lots of girlfriends and cheating on them all then you might want to think about this one more carefully.
