You have spoken to him online, so if you really like him, perhaps it’s time to speak to him in person.

Why not suggest that you meet him as part of something bigger- like a party. That way you still have other people to talk to so it takes the pressure of you both a bit.

Depending on how this goes, then you might feel comfortable enough to invite him out for a date.

If there is nothing big going on in your area then perhaps invite him to an activity day out with you and a few of your mates. The activity can act as a bit of distraction if the conversation is fading, but gives you chance to take some time out and have a chat.

Or when you talk to him why not try being a bit flirty and gauge his reaction- if he flirts back then you might have a good chance of things going further!
