If someone dumps you then it is an automatic assumption that you are entitled to look elsewhere. If you feel guilty about it then perhaps tell him what happened to maintain some honesty in your relationship.

If at that point you were single then there is no harm in keeping your options open. The only reason he might be offended is if you were flirting with someone soon after your break up, which can give the impression that you were ready to move on quickly. That said, if you have broken up and got back together three times, this can cause a lot of insecurity in a relationship and can often make one wonder if it will survive another attempt.

Even if you had gone on a date with someone else, then technically there would have been nothing wrong with that either. Maybe allow yourself a little leniency when it comes to this- if you had acted on it while you were an item then that might have had cause for guilt but as it stands you acted like most single people do.
