That's ruminating - ruminating thoughts can quickly become obsessive thoughts and obsessive thinking can lead to illness including heart disease at worst and ruin your happiness at best.

You really do need to stop overthinking. Easier said than done, I know. In this video, as part of a whole series, we look at ways to catch yourself when you are engaging in particular kinds of, 'Stinking thinking'.
