We have already been treated to some great images from Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - which is released later this year - and now the first trailer for the latest Tim Burton film has arrived.

Yes, Tim Burton is back in the director's chair for his first feature film since the success of Big Eyes back in 2014. He has brought us some wonderful films during his career and I am always exciting to see one of his movies on the horizon.

Sadly, we are going to have to wait until the autumn before Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is released here in the UK, but it the first trailer promises that the wait is going to be worth it. Check it out:

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is an adaptation of the much-loved novel of the same name by Ransom Riggs and has been adapted for the big screen by Jane Goldman.

The movie sees Burton reunite with actress Eva Green as she takes on the central role of Miss Peregrine. The duo first worked together on Dark Shadows.

Asa Butterfield, Samuel L. Jackson, Allison Janney, Ella Purnell, Judi Dench, Chris O'Dowd, Terrence Stamp, Milo Parker, and Pixie Davies complete the cast of established talent and up and coming stars.

When his beloved grandfather leaves Jake clues to a mystery that spans different worlds and times, he finds a magical place known as Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

But the mystery and danger deepen as he gets to know the residents and learns about their special powers... and their powerful enemies. Ultimately, Jake discovers that only his own special 'peculiarity' can save his new friends.

I have been a fan of Burton for many years and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children looks set to be another treat from the filmmaker.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is released this autumn.
