Calvin Harris – Ready For The Weekend
Well, Calvin Harris’ last single was a massive hit, so we think this too will follow in it’s footsteps!
The song features guest vocals by British singer Mary Pearce, and she’s really good (so good in fact that the lads can’t stop talking about her!)
I [Alex] think it’s amazing how 90’s inspired music can be so retro now, if it came on in a nightclub you couldn’t ignore it, it’s going to get everyone dancing! However, I probably wouldn’t put it on myself to listen to really.
Vagabond think then chorus itself if great, but the verses are lacking in something, however Steve doesn’t agree; “I like the whole song, I would listen to it myself. It’s got a good sound!”
Whereas Alex can see the good points; “From a production point of view I think he [Calvin Harris] is really talented.” Bit luke points out that there’s no build up to the chorus, which is a bit confusing, but the boys quicky brush that aside, deciding that they can let Calvin off for omitting a ‘bridge’ as it is essentially a song that you’re supposed to listen to on big speakers.
As Luke quite rightly points out; “I could just loop the chorus round and round it’s that good!”
