Foundation, false eyelashes, massive brows and loads of lippy, this is what you’ll see on the faces of Women up and down the country but when it comes to men, they feel that less is now more when it comes to make-up.
A large 73 per cent of men said they find Women who wear a small amount of make-up more attractive than those who go the whole hog and pile it on.
This means that 27 per cent still prefer the WAG look and would rather date someone from the TOWIE cast than a women who has a toned down look.
A spokesman for the site said, “Men are often accused of preferring women who apply bold, eye catching make up, yet what our poll has found is that for most too much slap is a reason to take a step back.”
Despite these results, 93 per cent of Men polled by roxypalace.com said that wearing less make-up can improve a woman’s look.
The spokesman said, “Whilst nearly all agreed that applying a little makeup could help accentuate a woman’s best features the vast majority believed that less was more when it came to presentation – which may be bad news for makeup manufacturers.”
The celebrities that were praised for their natural look were Holly Willoughby, Jools Oliver, Fearne Cotton and Amanda Holden.
Unfortunately, those that were deemed too heavily made-up included Amy Childs, Lady GaGa, Carol Vorderman and Tulisa.
The biggest turn off was too much foundation followed by false eyelashes, streaky fake tan and ridiculous false nails.
Men from the North were more attracted to this look, whereas men down South preferred the natural look.
Even though most men would say women didn’t need to wear Make-up to be attractive, 48 per cent of them use beauty products such as moisturisers, eye-rollers and teeth whitening in order to look good for women.
The spokesman concluded, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and there is no right or wrong amount of makeup to wear but if you’re out on the pull, particularly in the south of England you may wish to ditch the makeup in the hunt for the dream man.”

I think it's a personal thing really. Personally I wouldn't leave the house without make-up but I keep it natural, no orange fake tan or false eyelashes, I couldn't be bothered doing that everyday!

Danielle, you clearly haven't read this properly. It says men prefer women with LESS make-up. It's not saying don't wear any, it's saying don't pile it on so that it's so thick you can ... Read More
