Less? You're not alone?

Less? You're not alone?

Your man is about to be scantily clad for a week or two. You have nothing but each other and endless amounts of time for sex- but it’s at this point that women don’t want any- as they think that their partners are actually less appealing on holiday than at home.

Do you and your man let yourself go on holiday? That bikini/swimming trunk diet is a distant memory, there is no one around that you know so you don’t bother wearing make up? If they don’t notice that they really won’t notice your bikini line stubble, your leg hair or his five o’clock shadow either? And no one cares if your or your partner’s first wash of the day is in the hotel pool right?

Both men and women can take relaxation on holiday too far sometimes and this can cause relationship woes.

A third of women admit that they are less attracted to their partner on holiday. Surprisingly enough, a holiday can have negative repercussions on relationships according to www.sunshine.co.uk.

Peeling or sunburned skin and heatstroke are definably not the best aphrodisiacs- meaning sex is off the cards until you both gel up and give your skin some moisture and rest. If you are in constant pain too, you are not going to be the best company for coitus or otherwise.

Spending 24/7 together can also be too much for some couples if they are used to spending at least 8 hours apart for work each day.

With no car to drive the next day- drinking alcohol can often go to excess and make people act differently. It gives some people courage to bring up that unresolved argument or spill some home truths, which is not going to feel great for their partner.

With all those bikini clad women around, it can be harder for men to disguise their ogling, which can lead to arguments over jealousy and a blatant disregard for their partner’s feelings.

The majority of couples do find their partner more attractive on holiday, with a healthy glow, an opportunity for more quality time with each other, more sex, good moods caused by good weather- the list of positives is endless for most.

Generally people take better care of themselves on holiday and are in good shape so they can feel confident in their swimwear; generally they are nicer to be around because work is forgotten about for a few days and there is no one else to consider but each other.

For those women who just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, they would rather holiday with their girlfriends so they don’t have to admit to themselves that they don’t find their partner attractive at a point in the year when they really should.

Chris Clarkson, Managing Director of sunshine.co.uk, said the following:

“If you’ve never been on holiday with a partner before, it can be quite daunting knowing that you’re going to be with them 24/7; especially if you aren’t used to living together. People are generally more relaxed on holiday, so bad habits can emerge which may be off-putting, but people should just enjoy being together and not having anything to worry about for a week or two. If, by the end of the holiday, you’re feeling unsure about your partner than when you set off, it’s probably time to call it a day!”
