Small acts of kindness

Small acts of kindness

A night with each other- A gentle reminder that you can still spend a large chunk of time in each other's company and enjoy it. You don't need to spend a lot or do anything extravagant to enjoy time together- you are enough for them and them for you.

A hug or cuddle from a loved one- Whatever has happened, all your anxieties about your working day melt away when your partner hugs you. It makes you confident in your own ability to fix the problem or deal with the person who's causing you grief.

Smiling- When your partner smiles at you, it's infectious and you know in that moment that you still make them happy despite the difficult times you have endured.

Small acts of kindness- When your partner makes a small but meaningful gesture, it proves how well they know you and that they're always thinking of you even when you're apart.

Alone time- Spending time alone gives you the opportunity to miss each other and tell each other about what did whilte you were away from base camp. It makes you safe in the knowledge that you don't have to do everything together to work- that they will be faithful in your absence.

Talking about the past- It can be easy to forget how much you have achieved as a couple and talking about all of your accomplishments together makes you realise just how strong you are and what you can achieve when you work as a team.

A compliment- Couples can forget to give each other compliments once the honeymoon phase is over, so when you do exchange them it gives you a surge of confidence that after so long your partner still digs you and you them.
