JustAskMeOut.com believes that singles should meet in person as much as possible and has found a gender divide in their singles events and website activity.

Events like picnics in the park have more women than men

They can't explain it, but men prefer to sign up to the website more than women while women make more of an effort to show up at singles events.

The dating site is determined to get people off their desk chairs or beds straight into the dating scene sooner rather than later to enjoy their offerings for single men and women throughout the year. They organize things such as ping pong parties and picnics in the park to name a few so that singles can have a good mingle!

Alex Rowley, Founder of Just Ask Me Out said, "We've experienced this gender paradox for some time now, and have a few theories about it. Obviously we can't know for sure, but it could be that some single guys are shy or just don't like the idea of a singles party or matchmaking event. Single girls on the other hand are more likely to put themselves out there to find love, and understand that real chemistry can't be found online."

Although the gender split is uneven, it doesn't seem to be affecting the mood of the people going or the success of the events. That said; it is shame that men are missing out because of confidence issues when something like this could help boost such levels. The sad reality is they could be missing out on a potential life partner by avoiding these parties.

Miss Rowley added, "We think some guys presume that our singles events will be cheesy or awkward, when in fact they are very casual. There's no silly singles games or formal matchmaking - we simply let people have a drink and do their thing!"
