Whether your partner has been faithful or not, it can be hard to give your trust over to someone in fear of getting your heart broken.

Trust is an essential part of a relationship and acts as the foundations so it’s important that you trust your partner.

Here are some tips on how to get to the bottom of your trust issues and beat them once and for all!

Why Don’t You Trust Him?

Firstly, it’s important to uncover why you feel you can’t trust your man.

Is it because he’s given you reason not to trust him in the past or because you’ve had your heart broken by someone else before?

If it’s Him

If he’s cheated on you in the past or lied to you then you have every reason not to trust him.

Now, the question is whether or not you can live with what he’s done, forgive him and start a fresh.

You can’t constantly make him pay for a mistake that you’ve ultimately seemed to forgive by taking him back.

If it’s You

We’ve all suffered a broken heart at least once but as hard as it is you can’t let it impact on current relationship.

It isn’t fair on him that you’re making him suffer for someone else’s mistakes. What can he possibly do to rectify something he didn’t even do?

Talk to Him

Whatever the reason for your trust issues you both need to talk it over. Ask him how he feels and let him know how you feel.

Talk through your options and ask each other what you want from the relationship going forward.

Decision Time

It’s time to decide what your next step is. It’s unfair on both of you to keep going on as things are so it’s important that you make a decision.

If he cheated and you can’t get past it then it’s better for both of you to call time on the relationship. If you can then start and fresh and make a point not to mention it again, it’s in the past and that’s where it should stay.

If it’s you who has the trust issues because of a previous relationship then you need to put the past behind you.

Just ask yourself if your current partner has even given you a reason to distrust him, if he hasn’t then you’ve nothing to worry about so just enjoy the relationship!
