Savage Love: App of the Week

App: Savage Love

Available On: iOS and Android devices

Price: £1.49

What is it?

Savage Love is an app designed to give you honest, useful and trustworthy advice about all things love and sex related.

The app was born from Dan Savage’s weekly column Savage Love which appears in several newspapers weekly.

The app has multiple features, one being an entire catalogue of questions and answers under subject headings.

It also gives you the option to listen to the weekly podcast that Dan does which involves phone conversations between himself and those who need advice.

We Love:

The app’s strong suit is the masses on information it has on offer. There must be hundreds of categories and then multiple articles, questions and answers.

It’s got everything you can think of so you shouldn’t be short of reading material, and if there is something missing and you want answers, you can ask Dan for yourself.

Another great feature is that you can access to the Savage Love podcast through the app so it’s a really handy all-in-one app.

You can also read about Dan’s other projects and reach the relevant pages through the app.

Plus, if you’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Dan then you’re sorted for that too as Dan has kindly put a lovely picture of himself into the app which vibrates when you touch it!

As for ease, the app is super easy to get your head around and so it’s a pleasure to use.

Downfall:

Unfortunately the price is quite high for this sort of app. Information such as this should be available free of charge as it’s so useful and crucial to many people.

Another downfall is that it takes quite a while for the podcasts to load up, sometimes leaving you waiting for over 5 minutes which often resorts to you just giving up.

Verdict:

Savage Love is a really great app which injects Dan’s witty humour into his great advice, we just wish it didn’t come with a £1.49 price tag!
