We take a look at the eight commonalities of a mother-daughter relationship according to the new global study by Olay The Beauty of Mothers' Words'.
Relationships on Female First
1. Three in five women admit that they are turning into their mother- and they believe at aged 31 this process begins.
2.Half of women think that their mother told them lies as a child to protect them- such as telling them they looked good in their questionable choices they made in their teenage years over hair, makeup and clothes.
3. The three times a mums words matter the most as at the birth of their first child, on their wedding day and when they find out that they are pregnant.
4. Daughters believe that mothers want to empower them as a young woman and hope that they carry this power through their entire life.
5. Many women believe in their mother's mantras, sayings and encouragement are worth passing down to their daughters such as:
Be yourself
Believe in yourself
Do what makes you happy
Always follow your heart and dreams
Be family orientated
Live life to the fullest
Be honest
6. Daughters believe their mothers never want them to settle for something or someone who doesn't deserve them.
7.Mother always want their daughters to look and feel their best and be confident in their own skin.
8. Many daughters will go to their mothers for beauty advice over anyone else's of which they tell them to 'not go to bed without makeup', 'get lots of beauty sleep' and 'have faith in your own looks'.
