IllicitEncounters.com has found that women attach a sexiness rating to the jobs that men do and we find out which ones are considered the most appealing on a date’s CV.

Entrepreneurs headed the list as it shows the guy is creative, takes risks and is intelligent. People who embody these characteristics include Peter Jones of Dragon’s Den fame, Richard Branson and Michael Smith of Mind Candy, who all come top of the crush list for forward thinkers.

Bankers and stock brokers might have the cash but women assume that men in this profession are too hungry for ambition, ruthless and overly confident. This could result in them spending little time with you, taking you for granted when they do and assume that you will be thankful to be dating them. They sound just swell!

Those that bombed at the bottom were footballers and politicians- coming in as potentially vain, selfish and having an unhealthy reputation in tow. The press of late has not helped the way that women view these jobs and the men who are in them.

llicitEncounters.com spokesperson Mike Taylor commented: "With the World Cup over (Well for England anyway) and the footballers antis on the pitch now moving off pitch, they could find themselves struggling to score as women find their over-confidence incredibly off-putting. Women who are looking for a new lover often look for a man who is as attractive on the inside, as well as the outside; they want someone they can have an emotional and physical connection with. It appears that whilst footballers may be attractive on the pitch, off the pitch most women feel they would have little or nothing in common with them. So despite their fame and fortune, most women find their arrogance, and reputation as a real turn off."

Another profession that will probably never fail to lose its appeal is a firefighter, who is thought to be brave, caring and heroic, playing to every woman’s inner desire to have her prince charming come rescue her! Plus the uniform means you don’t have to keep buying role play outfits all the time!

Doctors avoid bad press with a reputation of being professional, motivated and protective. And with characters like McDreamy of Grey’s Anatomy fame it’s no wonder that this opinion is perpetuated!

Musicians are considered to be mysterious, creative and artistic, wooing many women with these attributes too.

Sally 44 from Yorkshire, who uses IllicitEncounters.com to meet married men, commented: “I am looking for a date with someone who can provide stimulating conversation. I find men who are overly vain and egotistical off-putting, and I can’t imagine anything worse than going for dinner with a politician - I want to be excited, not bored to sleep, and I doubt they are dynamite in the bedroom either.”
