saumya sharma asks :

i am 19 years old girl, me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex and i have taken around 7-8 contraceptive pills.in past 6 months, around 6 pills. now i am having severe pain in lower part of stomach.. what should i do for the pain.??? can it bring complications in future..

Yin replies

The first thing you need to do is go out and buy a pregnancy test, to make sure that repercussions of having unprotected sex are not that you are pregnant.

If you have taken around 7-8 pills in the last six months then this is not enough if you are talking about actual tablets. It should be taken daily with a break of seven days to allow your period to come.

Yang replies

If you are talking about 7-8 different types of pill then you need to talk to your doctor as you are supposed to trial each pill for at least 3 months while your body adjusts to the effects. If you are getting lower pain than you need to go and see a doctor anyway to find out what is happening.

The pain can be due to your body not adjusting to the different pills you are using or simply because you are not taking enough. Read the packet and the guidelines carefully to make sure you are using this to its best effect.
