Hi Lucy,

Why does it feel like my boyfriend's fed up with me?

There is a possibility that he might be fed up, but the only way you will know for sure is if you ask him. Couples get fed up of each other from time to time, it's normal, so don't feel offended if he is fed up right now. Think back; were there times when you felt fed up with him? The most important thing is that you can both communicate when you are in a bad mood with one another, talk about why and search for ways to feel good about your relationship again.

It could be something unrelated to you, he could just be stressed at work, or feeling a little tired lately, which you might have misinterpreted as him being fed up with you or the relationship.

If you ask him then you will know what the cause of his change in mood is. Guessing why a partner is different gets a couple nowhere, because making assumptions in a relationship is not productive. Honesty is what helps to make each person feel secure with one other.

If he doesn't feel like talking then perhaps he just needs time to think or work through it himself- just as long as he knows he can talk to you if he needs to then sometimes that is enough.
