Communication is a key factor to the success of many relationships. If you are not sure- you could just ask him. It may seem daunting or that you are rushing into things, but if there is not future in it and you want something long term then at least you won’t be wasting your time. If you have been seeing him 'casually' then maybe you need to redefine the relationship.
If you don’t ask then you might feel like this for the foreseeable future and the longer you wait, the worse it might get if he is not forthcoming about his feelings.
You perhaps need to be clear about what you want or you could end up getting hurt. If he is not into this relationship then that gives you the motivation to look for someone who wants the same things as you. If he is then you can feel a bit more relaxed about what’s to come.
