Exercise outside

Exercise outside

Something that says Military Fitness in the title hints at hard work, but as the saying goes, no pain no gain.

Not only will you feel the benefit of a British Military Fitness class during the workout but also the next day and most likely the following few days too.

Bootcamp classes held outside are a huge trend at the moment and it’s no surprise really, the fresh air, the encouragement, and the fact you can feel the fat melting away as you around a park.

The classes are held by trained professionals who have a background in the British Military, and are there to help push you and burn around 600 calories a class – amazing really.

This class pushes you to your limits, but at the same time it’s really fun. It follows the same structure as many workouts, warm up, cardio, strengthening exercise and a cool down section. Not only are you doing the exercises alone, but you’re paired up and do exercises with other people to help spot each other and get the most from what you’re doing.

Yes, you may feel some embarrassment at first but that soon melts away when you realise that everyone is there for the same reason – to get fit.

You may be tired and aching when the class is finished, but I guarantee that you’ll also be looking forward to your next class.

Just because we’re in the winter don’t use that as an excuse to not exercise outside,  the mud just adds to the fun.
