THAT kiss

Despite rocking up to the family party in a Rudolph sweater and losing his girl to Cleaver, Darcy reigns triumphant with THAT kiss. With that in mind we started thinking about where the film was shot, and how we'd probably quite liked to be kissed like that. Darcy and Bridget made our hearts melt at The Royal Exchange, London. It dates way back to 1566, where it was a purpose-built trading centre. Now a luxury shopping and dining destination in The City, we think it'd make the perfect date place. Browse the likes of Hermés and Tiffany & Co, before a drink in the Threadneedle Bar and then, obviously a kiss with your loved one, Bridget Jones' style, but maybe with trousers, okay definitely with trousers.

THAT proposal

If it's more of a classic romance you want to recreate then a trip out to Wiltshire is on the cards. Stourhead Gardens is the setting for Darcy's first proposal. Now, we know Colin Firth will always be some people's Darcy, but we loved Matthew MacFadyen's version. Soaked in the rain with a questionable proposal speech we'd probably say yes because he looked so lovely. We suggest a wander around the mansion and then a long stroll through the gardens. It is Britain though, so make sure your date looks good if they get drenched.
