Dan From Ivyrise’s Blog February 9, 2010
Posted by Ruth in : Music , add a commentDan from Ivyrise here! So here we are back in the hallowed Female First offices being journalists for the day! Three hours, two meat and potato pies and six chicken drumsticks into the day and I’m sat next to Ben as he argues with Nerina Pallot about how to pronounce her surname and explains where in France to get the best vegetarian food.
I’ve finished answering all the questions people left on our FF page (thanks guys!) and I’m left feeling rather excited about the upcoming weeks and months. This Friday we’ve got the first leg of our tour at the sold out Islington Academy in London, then heading on around the country playing the likes of Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Leeds and Manchester!
Watch out on Youtube for our newest webisodes documenting all of our musical antics and also debuting the largest fish in London!! Great fun! We then head off to Paris in March to finish off our album, with the world famous Yves Jaget!
Thanks for having us again…..and keep your eyes open for Ivyrise’s continuing rise to household names in 2010!
We love you Female First!

Vernon Kay Sends Rude Texts To Page 3 Girl February 9, 2010
Posted by Ruth in : Celeb Watcher, Ruth's Ramblings , add a commentVernon Kaye and Tess Daley look as though they have the perfect marriage, but today we have realised how much appearances can be deceiving, as it has emerged that he has exchanged a number of saucy text messages with Page 3 girl Rhian Sugden.
The married father of two met the 23-year-old blonde stunner at a club in his hometown of Bolton, and the pair then begain sending each other saucy texts and messages on Twitter.
Whilst we haven’t had any word from Tess – who gave birth to their second child just eight months ago – Vernon’s spokesman admitted the reports were true, but was eager to point out; “They never at any point had a physical sexual relationship.”
So, what do YOU think, is it just harmless banter or is Vernon in big trouble?

ITV Fined Over I’m A Celeb Rat Death February 9, 2010
Posted by Ruth in : Ruth's Ramblings, TV , add a commentCan anyone remember Rat-Gate last year? You know, when chef Gino D’Acampo and Stuart Manning killed a domesticated rat during I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!? Well ITV have been fined for animal cruelty following the scandal, but is it just me, or do you think this is a teeny little bit over the top?
I know the whole killing of a rat on TV wasn’t the most pleasant of viewing, but the campers were so hungry, and it’s the point of I’m A Celebrity to teach celebrities about back to basics living.
But the big OMG here is the fact that the producers of the show obviously farm hundreds of little critters purely for the celebrities to endure, be buried with and eat alive (or fried), so if ITV can sign off on that, what’s up with the rat?
Apparently officials have the huff now the ITV production crew have admitted to letting the rat loose in camp and giving the pair permission to kill it, and have fined the TV Channel £1,660 after hearing that the helpless rat took 90 seconds to die and had suffered unnecessary pain after being stabbed with a knife.
Okay, so it’s sad, but why is it such a big deal when they kill a rat, but not when they bite the heads off of Witchetty grub?

Katie Price – I Want Alex’s Baby February 9, 2010
Posted by Ruth in : Celeb Watcher, Ruth's Ramblings , add a commentKatie Price is still wittering on Radio One with Chris Moyles, and whilst we knew it was going to be an interesting interview, she has announced that she’s planning on having new husband Alex Reid’s baby.
Always one to get the rumour mill in motion, Katie announced “I want to be Redinated” before clarifying to us not in the lovebirds ‘loop’ that it meant she wants his babies. Right.
So they met about 8 months ago, have already got married and now Katie wants his babies, wow, this lady really doesn’t do things by halves does she?
To be honest, she REALLY grew on me in the interview, I don’t know why because some of the things she aid were utterly moronic, but at least she’s 100% honest about it you know.
So, now you’ve done Chris Moyles, any chance of a chat with us please Katie, we’ll be nicer than the Daily Star.
