The Food Network presenter passed away on Saturday (02.01.21) at the age of 75 after falling ill, though it is unclear what the 'Save My Bakery' host had been suffering with.
The Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show, a nonprofit organisation co-founded by the culinary expert, announced the sad news on Facebook.
A post read: "It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing of Kerry Vincent earlier this evening. Being a very private person when it came to all things not cake, she did not want to put her illness out there to the public.
“Unfortunately her fight has come to an end but she will no longer have any pain. She will be sorely missed by all who she has touched through the Sugar Arts as well as personally.”
Fellow Food Network star Zac Young paid tribute to the sugarcraft expert.
He wrote on his Instagram Story: "RIP Kerry Vincent. Original queen of cake thank you for sharing your wit and artistry."
And celebrity chef Dan Lepard hailed the "vigour and fierce determination" of the 'Great Australian Bake Off' judge in a tribute on Twitter.
He wrote: "Very sad to learn that Kerry Vincent @KerryVincentArt has died. Judge on the first series of @BakeOffAU @Channel9 and founder of the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show. Kerry's vigour & fierce determination was an inspiration for so many (sic)"
Kerry - who invented several unique techniques in sugar craft and earned over 100 blue ribbons for her work as a cake artist - was known as the 'Queen of Cakes' and her TV credits included a six-year stint as a judge on 'Food Network Challenge', hosting 'Save My Bakery' in 2014 and a string of appearances on the likes of 'Holiday Gingerbread Showdown' and 'Last Cake Standing'.
She also founded the Grand National Wedding Cake Competition, which was broadcast on Food Network several times.
Kerry - who is survived by her husband Doug - was inducted into International Cake Exploration Societé Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Dessert Professional Hall of Fame in 2010.
