Noah Bryant, from New York, is a big fan of the yellow cartoon character and purchased 51 cases of ice lollies, costing his mother Jennifer $2,618 (£1,872).

The online retail giant initially told Jennifer that they wouldn't be taking back the ice lollies but has since been in contact.

A fundraiser was set up to help Bryant pay the bill for the ice lollies and has now raised over $14,000 (£10,000) with donations flooding in from across the United States.

Noah is on the autism spectrum and his family have revealed that the remaining donations will go towards his education.

In an update on the GoFundMe page, Bryant wrote: "As a parent to a child living with ASD (autism spectrum disorder), all additional donations will go towards Noah’s education and additional supports. We cannot thank you enough. Truly."
