A man started charging his girlfriend $24 a night to stay over at his house.

The man admitted his partner - who has her own place but has been staying with him three or four nights a week - was ''really upset'' by the suggestion, which was brought up to cover a rise in his utility bills.
Taking to Reddit, he wrote: ''I explained that all of my utility bills have gone up significantly since she started staying over more and that $24 for one night in an $1800/mo apartment is a great deal.
''Heck, I wish I got to live in my apartment for that little.''
The man - who was slammed online - revealed his girlfriend's pals are trying to convince her to dump him over the issue.
He added: ''I think it's reasonable to ask her to help pay for things now that she's spending more time at my place, but maybe I'm wrong...''
