Kevin Spacey appeared outside Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London today (June 16th, 2022) after being charged with four counts of sexual assault and one count of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent, against three individual men.

The 62-year-old was accompanied by members of his legal team as well as two police officers, who did their best to protect him from the legions of photographers all battling to get a good picture of the disgraced star.

Spacey exited a silver Mercedes outside the court, making no comment as he was rushed straight into the entrance before making his way through internal security.

Patrick Gibbs QC, defending Spacey told the court: "Mr Spacey strenuously denies any and all criminality in this case."

The offences for which Spacey has been charged took place in London and Gloucestershire between 2005 and 2013, relating to three men who are now in their 30s and 40s.

No plea was entered, but Spacey had previously said he is "confident" he can clear his name in any upcoming trial.

Following today's hearing, the case was adjourned and Spacey was given unconditional bail until he is set to appear at Southwark Crown Court on July 14th, 2022.

Spacey said to Good Morning America last month, after learning that the Metropolitan Police intended to charge him: “While I am disappointed with their decision to move forward, I will voluntarily appear in the UK as soon as can be arranged and defend myself against these charges, which I am confident will prove my innocence."

Spacey is known for his performances in the likes of The Usual Suspects, American Beauty and, more recently, Netflix original series House of Cards.

The latter saw him removed from the cast ahead of the final season, as controversy surrounded the actor.

Despite that, he has picked up more recent roles in Bilo jednom u Hrvatskoj, as well as Peter Five Eight which has completed production, and The Man Who Drew God along with Gateway to the West, which are both in pre-production. He's also been announced for the project Gore, where he'll play Gore Vidal.
