The annual Argos Toy Exchange is back this year with Barnado's, why have you decided to get involved with the campaign?

My grandad was a Barnado's child many years ago so I've always heard fond memories of the charity and the great work they do. I loved the idea because it allows people to donate to charity, to have a good clear out of those unused toys ahead of Christmas and in exchange you get to put £5 towards new toys in Argos! What's not to love?

How can people get involved and help out?

Gather up all your old toys and head down to your nearest Argos or Barnado's stores to donate your old toys. In exchange you will receive a £5 voucher to spend on toys in Argos!

Why is it important for you to give back to those less fortunate?

I personally loved having the chat with my boys about the charity and the Argos Toy Exchange and they're at the age now where they do understand that they are very fortunate but similarly they aren't spoilt. I always teach my boys to be kind so I was so pleased about how giving they were when they bagged up all their old toys to donate!

A study in association with the campaign found 3.8 million British adults still keep their favourite toys close at night - do you still have your favourite childhood toy?

I still have my favourite knitted doll called Jemima! She is kept at my mum's house for safe keeping along with some other treasured items that my mum likes to keep. I would have loved to have been able to pass her on to my boys but I don't think they would have appreciated a pink knitted doll!

Do the findings surprise you?

It is quite surprising but the findings just show how sentimental we are about certain toys from our childhood. It's lovely to keep ones with great memories but any unused ones that adults or the kids have outgrown do donate them for such a great cause!

Do you have any further projects coming up you can share any details about?

Day to day I'm in the office running my own make up business called Wild About Beauty along with my fashion and lifestyle blog, A Style Album. I've also just filmed a couple of TV projects too which will be out in 2016.

Louise Redknapp launches the fourth annual Argos Toy Exchange which aims to bring the amount raised by the initiative over the years to £2.5 million worth of toys for children's charity Barnardo's.
