There are many podcasts out there in which hosts discuss their experiences with anxiety, grief and body confidence, but in this podcast, Dr Linda Papadopoulos delves deep into why these situations occur, providing something a little different and more scientific for the listener.

Who’s the host? Hosting the podcast is Dr Linda Papadopoulos, a Canadian psychologist based in England. She’s the author of many books, including Becoming a Therapist, Psychodermatology, Psychological Approaches to Dermatology, The Man Manual and Mirror Mirror: Dr Linda's Body Image Revolution, which promotes a healthy body image.

From first date nerves to coping with exam stress, postnatal depression to learning to say no, everyone will be able to take at least one thing from this podcast to improve or learn more about their own mental health, fears and behaviours, or a loved one’s.

Linda describes her podcast on her website:

“Welcome to my podcast series “The Psychology Behind” where every week I explore a different topic in the area of mental health and psychology. In each episode I explore research in behavioural science to provide actionable tips on topics ranging from comfort eating and anger management, to self esteem and work place dynamics.  The reason that I began the podcast was because having discussed psychology in the media for so many years I am often approached and asked by people about how to cope with the challenges that life throws at them. I’ve always felt its a privilege to have people reach out and tell me their stories, and so the developing ‘the psychology behind’ has allowed me to use technology address the issues that impact people lives.  The fact that someone can listen to evidence-based theory and advice at a time and place that suits them is a real leap forward in the way that we approach mental health and well being and I am thrilled to be a part of it.  You can subscribe to the podcast below and if you have any ideas for topics that you’d like me to address please let me know, I always love to hear from you!”

Where can I listen? You can listen to this podcast on Stitcher, iTunes, Spotify, Podbean and AudioBoom.

What else is great about this podcast? If you're new to the series, there's tonnes to catch up on, meaning you can binge-listen to your heart's content!
