How do your remove hair?

Hair removal may not be the most fun part of our beauty routine, but it has to be done, doesn't it?

Super smooth and silky legs are a must when you have your legs on show and will help to give some confidence too. But just how much are you paying to ensure you're fuzz free?

Yes, women spend £8,000 on hair removal in a lifetime according to new research.

And it’s not just money they are spending, it’s their time too. The study of 3000 women by Remington reveals that 88% of women will spend four months of their entire lifetime removing unwanted body hair with a whole range of fuzz fighters including razors, epilators and waxing.

Women said they’d be prepared to spend £712 to remove unwanted hair for life, clearly unaware of the actual cost they are paying to shave as they go. A further 2% of respondents admitted they were so desperate to be hair-free they’d pay up to £10,000.

Vicky Williams, marketing director at Remington, said: “Whether it’s shaving, waxing or more permanent solutions, hair removal is a cross to bear for most British women.

“Hair removal is seen as a chore but we hear from women all the time that being fuzz free is crucial to women’s confidence. The good news is that it is no longer necessary to spend such an astronomical amount in the quest  to be hair free with permanent IPL at-home solutions which offer a significant reduction in the time and money required for baby soft skin.”

The survey also revealed  that more than half of British women aren’t honest with their partner about the time and effort put in to ensure they are silky smooth at all times, with one in ten stating they go out of their way to keep their partners in the dark about their depilation.

No surprise, then, that over a quarter of all women aged 18-24 said that it’d be a case of ‘mane stops play’ when it came to getting intimate with a partner if they weren’t fuzz-free.

The biggest fear when it comes to body hair though, unsurprisingly is unwanted facial hair.

How much would you pay to have that removed?
