Snow White And The Huntsman

Snow White And The Huntsman

After the success of Alice In Wonderland back in 2010 there has been a real boom in the fairytale, not just on the big screen but also on TV.

And this summer the story of Snow White will hit cinemas as Snow White and the Huntsman promises to be one of the most interesting movies of the blockbuster season.

Gone a sing dwarves and animals that help clean the house as Snow White and the Hunstman looks like a dark and gritty take on a tale that we know so well.

The movie marks the directorial debut for Rupert Sanders, and he couldn't have started with a more ambitious project if he'd have tried.

And what he lacks in experience his cast more than make up for it as two of Hollywood's brightest young stars are joined by a bona fide Oscar winner.

Yes it seems that role of the Evil Witch, Queen Ravenna in this project, is rather a tempting one for Charlize Theron, Julia Roberts will play a similar part in Mirror Mirror; the other Snow White project to hit the big screen this year.

Kristen Stewart will play Snow White while Chris Hemsworth is set to play the Huntsman.

But this is Snow White like we have never seen her before, if you haven't seen the trailer then she is set to wield a sword and go into battle - I don't remember that in the Disney film do you?

As for Hemsworth he is set to be one busy boy this summer as Avengers Assemble & The Cabin In The Woods are both set for release.

Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Toby Jones and Sam Claflin make up a very interesting cast list.

This is one of the movies that I have been looking forward to for a while as it looks set to turn the tale of Snow White on it's head.

There is a real Grimm fairy tale feel to a magnificent trailer and this movie looks set to stand out against a back drop of superhero films that will be hitting cinema screens very soon.

It's great to see Stewart move away from the Twilight franchise and tackle a role that is completely different.

While I don't think that this movie will enjoy the $1 billion success of Alice In Wonderland this should be a bit hit with cinema goers.

Snow White And The Huntsman is released 1sy June
