Tom Hardy has hinted that Bane will not disappoint in The Dark Knight Rises.
The actor is currently in Pittsburgh filming the third Batman movie, images of him fighting Christian Bale's Batman have surfaced this week.
And Hardy admits that he is enjoying taking on the role.
Speaking to Total Film the actor said: "I think Bane's f---ing cool so I'm really excited to play him.
"It's not the guy in Joel Schumacher's film [played by Jeep Swenson], but it shouldn't disappoint fanboys."
Hardy is not the only new face on The Dark Knight Rises cast list as Marion Cotillard, Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon Levitt will also star.
Bale is back to reprise the role of Bruce Wayne while Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman will also return.
The Dark Knight Rises is the third film in Christopher Nolan's series and will hit screens next year, four years after the success of The Dark Knight; which went on to break $1 billion.
The Dark Knight Rises is released 20th July 2012.
