This May will be home to a collection of movies releasing both into cinemas and homes across the UK, including Vinnie Jones’ (Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrells, Snatch) latest feature film.
The Bezonians, which released in November 2021, will be coming to digital download and DVD in May of this year (2022), and is set to bring a lot of thrills into homes of audiences.
The film, coming from Saints and Savages, follows Willard Greb (Jones), as he plans to deliver on his threat towards Plato (Andreas Karras), who played poker with Greb’s mischievous bombshell partner, Lola (Lois Brabin-Platt), who Plato now owes a lot of money.
Plato runs the Bezonians Social Club in North London, where generation after generation have gambled their lives away and partied for decades; and now Greb is after him.
The fate of both his club, and his life, are in danger as Greb moves ever-closer to him. Plato has men who will stand by him, such as Achilles (Savvas D. Michael), Costas (Peter Polycarpou), Buster (Nicky B), Mike (Chris Tummings) and Anthony (Jamie Crew)… but will that be enough?
As well as Jones, The Bezonians also stars Marina Sirtis (Star Trek), Jenny Miller and Kem Hassan, with Director Savvas D. Michael also starring.
Saints and Savages' CEO, John Pavlakos, spoke about the forthcoming release, saying that "We're very proud of The Bezonians, which has won and number of awards around the world. Vinnie Jones is a master of the genre and we were delighted to have him on board for the film. I believe it's our best work to date and we can't wait for audiences to see it!"
The trailer for The Bezonians is rather gritty, gory and violent, just what many want in a crime thriller. It also shows themes such as revenge, which propel the movie forwards.
Many who have already seen the movie have praised it for its narrative and interesting characters, so the home release may prove to be popular.
The Bezonians will be available to purchase on digital download and DVD on May 2nd, 2022.
