Upcoming action-comedy, The Lost City, starring Channing Tatum (Jump Street franchise) and Sandra Bullock (Bird Box), has released an all-new behind-the-scenes clip ahead of the film’s April 2022 release.

The new featurette released only yesterday (March 4th, 2022), and details how one of the film’s scenes, titled The Leeches, was created.

The Lost City follows Loretta Sage (Bullock), who has dedicated her life to the writing of highly entertaining and beloved romance-adventure novels; Alan (Tatum) is always on the cover of these books, portraying Loretta’s leading hero, Dash.

As the pair are on a tour promoting Loretta’s newest book, she is kidnapped by a somewhat odd billionaire by the name of Fairfax (Daniel Radcliffe); he tells Loretta that she must lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest novel.

Meanwhile, Alan wishes to prove that he isn’t just a pretty face, and heads out to save Loretta from Fairfax, but can he be as heroic as Dash?

The duo must work together as they are right in the middle of a dense jungle, unsure of what awaits them beyond the trees and vines.

Loretta and Alan must bypass any fear, and make their way to the lost city in order to find the treasure that Fairfax is after; they must find the treasure before Fairfax, or anyone else, gets to it first.

The behind-the-scenes clip features co-director Adam Nee, Bullock and Tatum as they describe how The Leeches scene came together.

Day two of filming saw Tatum walk on set with leeches “super-glued” to his back; the actor also had to reveal all for this scene, “this is just what it is”, states Tatum.

Bullock speaks about this scene with fondness for her fellow co-star, saying that “you have to really like the person and feel safe with them”, which is definitely true for a scene such as this one.

“There was no weirdness,” continues Bullock, “you think there would be weirdness, but because he was so chill about it...”

Tatum and Bullock definitely have a great rapport formed for this movie, which should be highly entertaining on the big screen!

The Lost City will be in cinemas on April 13th, 2022.
