The Lost City: See the new character posters for upcoming Channing Tatum movie

Upcoming movie The Lost City, starring Sandra Bullock (Bird Box) and Channing Tatum (Jump Street franchise), has revealed all-new character posters ahead of the film’s April 2022 release.

The Lost City follows author Loretta (Bullock), who prefers to keep herself to herself and has spent her career writing about beautiful, exotic places in her beloved romance-adventure novels.

These stories feature handsome model, Alan (Tatum), on the cover of all of Loretta’s books; Alan has spent a great portion of his life portraying the author’s hero, Dash.

While both Loretta and Alan are on tour promoting her newest title, Loretta is kidnapped by an oddball billionaire by the name of Fairfax (Daniel Radcliffe), who forces the terrified author to lead him to the ancient lost city from her latest book.

There, Fairfax hopes to find the noteworthy treasure, and will do anything to get there.

However, Alan is struggling to find a way to help Loretta, but soon realises that he can be more than a pretty face; wanting to prove he can be the hero from Loretta’s tales, Alan sets off to find and rescue her.

Thrown in at the deep end, the unlikely duo must work together to survive in a dangerous land while trying to escape Fairfax's clutches and find the lost treasure before he, or anyone else, can.

The brand new character posters for The Lost City depict the three main actors as their characters; Radcliffe’s Fairfax poster shows his calculating, villainous side, Bullock’s poster shows her character’s thoughtfulness and drive, and Tatum’s poster suggests his character is somewhat absent-minded, but still willing to risk it all.

While 2022 is awash with superhero movies and action features, The Lost City may prove to be a break from the somewhat seriousness of cinema; Bullock and Tatum seem to be a perfectly-matched pair, and a new comedy is always welcome.

Radcliffe has starred as a villain before, notably in Now You See Me 2 (2016), however this feature will seemingly show off his more comical baddie, which will be brilliant to see.

In addition to Radcliffe, Bullock and Tatum, The Lost City also stars Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar Nuñez, Patti Harrison, and Bowen Yang.

The Lost City will release into cinemas on April 13th, 2022.
