War Horse

War Horse has stayed at the top of the UK box office as it took a further £3.2 million in it's second week on release.

The Steven Spielberg movie has charmed both critics and audiences and comfortably saw off the challenge from Haywire and Underworld: Awakening.

Haywire, the latest movie from filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, was new at number two.

The movie introduces us to Gina Carano and she is joined by an all star cast that includes Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender.

Underworld: Awakening is the fourth movie in the Underworld franchise and sees Kate Beckinsale reprise the central role of Selene.

The film opened at number three this week after a tussle with Haywire for the second spot.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows fell just a single place to four while The Iron Lady also fell and was down three places at five.

The Sitter is the third and final new entry inside the top ten this week as the Jonah Hill comedy was new at six.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol was another three place faller at seven while The Artist dropped just a single place to eight.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked was down one at nine while Puss In Boots rounded off the top ten.
