I don't know about you, but the first full -length X-Men Apocalypse trailer is one that I have been really looking forward to as I am such a HUGE fan of the comic book franchise.

X-Men: Apocalypse

X-Men: Apocalypse

Hard to believe it was 2000 when X-Men first hit the big screen but in 2016 Bryan Singer is set to return to the director's chair for the biggest instalment in the franchise to date.

This is the first feature film for Singer since he steered Days of Future Past to success last year - I really cannot wait to see what he delivers this time around.

We have already been treated to the first teaser poster for the film, and now the brand new trailer has dropped. It doesn't disappoint!!!!

James McAvoy is one of the familiar faces returning to the cast list and it will be the first time that we have seen his interpretation of Professor Xavier with no hair. Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult are also back as Magneto, Mystique, and Beast.

Oscar Isaac is the big new addition as he take on the title role of Apocalypse. Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, and Ben Hardy are some of the other new names on board as they take over the roles of Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Storm, and Angel.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.

As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse is released May 2016.
