Avenged Sevenfold

Avenged Sevenfold are releasing the DVD / CD package Live in the LBC & Diamonds in the Rough on September 15th.

Live in the LBC & Diamonds in the Rough combines a live DVD recorded earlier this year at the band’s hometown show at Long Beach Arena during their headline stint on the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour with a CD comprising rare and previously unheard material.

Directed by Rafa Alcantara who also worked on Avenged Sevenfold’s All Excess tour rockumentary, the DVD captures the intensity of the band’s live show with hits and fan favourites Afterlife, Beast and the Harlot, Almost Easy, Bat Country and A Little Piece of Heaven all included.

The CD features seven previously unreleased b-sides with a remix of Almost Easy, an alternative version of Afterlife and Avenged Sevenfold’s covers of Iron Maiden’s Flash of the Blade and Pantera’s Walk.

This year, Avenged Sevenfold have graced UK shores several times with performances supporting Iron Maiden at Twickenham Stadium and at Leeds festival on the Main stage. The band also won a Kerrang! Award last week for Best Album with their latest self-titled album.

Avenged Sevenfold released their fourth album last year, earning glowing reviews from publications including Classic Rock, NME and Q in the process.

To accompany the forthcoming release, Zacky Vengeance and Synyster Gates from the band have taped some explanations of a few of the tracks, including their cover of Pantera’s ‘Walk’. Watch them here.
