Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson

Oow! You could have your own bit of Michael Jackson on your hands if you've saved up lots of money this year as he plans to auction off his famed white glove. What did you think I meant you'd be getting on your hands?

The famous white gloves which were first unveiled in Jacko's 1983 Billie Jean video and have since become a trademark of the King of pop, will join the gates (presumably we'll all just be able to walk in now) of Michael's Neverland Ranch in a 2,000-item auction organized by Jacko himself.

The five day-auction will take place in Beverly Hills on April 21-25 and will include all sorts of memorabilia from his now abandoned Neverland Ranch as well as a number of personal items and pieces from his vast art collection.

This will be Michael’s first auction, and it will be nice to see the star letting us into his life since becoming a virtual recluse since his acquittal in 2005 on child sex abuse charges.

They haven't put an estimate on the money they expect to raise yet, but it is believed that a pair of Jacko's white socks once sold for $15,000 and a similar white glove went for $35,000.

The gates promise to fetch a tidy sum though as they kept a lot of history behind them; in its heyday, the 2,700-acre ranch included a zoo, a lake and an amusement park, but it was also the place where prosecutors claimed Jackson had molested young boys during sleepovers.

Despite the fact that Jackson has had a lot of financial difficulties recently, the auctioneer has insisted that it is not a forced sale and that a portion of the proceeds will go to the charity Musicares.
