George Sampson

George Sampson stole the heart of the nation when he soared to the top of Britain’s Got Talent in May earlier this year, and now he has stolen chart glory from some of pops most impressive artists, as his debut dance DVD Access 2 All Areas rockets to the top of the DVD chart.

Since its December release, Access 2 All Areas has flown off the shelves as Georgemania hits an all time high, selling over 39,000 copies. George knocked pop veteran Sir Cliff Richard off the top spot, and beat chart heavyweights Westlife, Girls Aloud and Take That to claim the number one position.

Reaching number one has topped off an impressive week for George after he attended the Children of Courage Awards with Prince Harry, and later performed his awe-inspiring routine at The Royal Variety Performance in front of Prince Charles. George flattered the Prince by joking with him : “I met your brother Harry yesterday!” Sales of the DVD are expected to rise even higher after his highly anticipated act airs on Wednesday as part of The Royal Variety Performance on BBC one.

In Access 2 All Areas, George showcases his vocal talents as well as his awesome dance moves in a series of four brand new music videos; ‘Get Up On The Dance Floor’, ‘Candy Girl’, ‘Headz Up’ and his signature track ‘Singing In The Rain’ which George has already helped soar to the top of the charts. Access 2 All Areas is packed full of exclusive behind the scenes extras including; a 30 minute documentary on his rise to stardom, exclusive behind the scenes footage of making the music videos, and an exclusive picture gallery of George’s favorite photos.

George said: “I can’t believe I’ve knocked the Westlife boys off the number one spot - it’s mad! After performing in front of Prince Charles and being told that Prince Harry voted for me on Britain’s Got Talent, this is the perfect end to an amazing year. Bring on 2009!”
